In the Zaporizjzja region, near the village of Mala Bokmachka, the Ukrainian armed forces (AFU) managed to strike back a Russian attack and destroy an armored column, according to a statement from the 118th mechanized Brigade.
On the night of August 29, a Russian attack group tried to advance along the road connecting the occupied village of Novopokrovka with Mala Tokmachka. The first vehicle in the column was a chariot equipped with a mining clearance, designed to cross Ukrainian minefields.

Ukrainian artillery and attack drones opened fire to the attackers and hit several vehicles. Russian infantry, which tried to use the damaged armored vehicles as coverage, sought refuge in a forest area to escape the bombing, but was also neutralized.
