What is AS-90
The AS-90 (Artillery System For the 1990S) is a 155mm self-propelled tarack developed by the United Kingdom at the end of the Cold War and was served in 1992. It is designed for high mobility and firepower, has light armor and can shoot projectiles at a distance of more than 24 km and exceed 30 km with special ammunition. A AS-90, considered to be one of the main artillery systems in the British army, was handed over to Ukraine in a conflict with Russia as part of London’s military assistance.
The destruction recorded in Lozovoe is another significant loss for Ukrainian armed forces for long-range artillery assets.
