“The first flight is a very important step. Updated Ansat differs not only by the engine-all main systems have been modernized, including avionics and autopilot. We take into account the operational experience and have not only independence from foreign suppliers, but also the improvement of helicopter characteristics,” said Nikolai Kolesov, director-general of Russia’s holding holding Helicopters.
The model was developed based on Ansat-M, certified by 2022. It has flight capacity up to 660 km without refueling and up to 800 km with additional fuel tank.
The helicopter also stands out for its high maneuverability and versatility, which can operate at extreme temperatures, between –45 ° C and +50 ° C, and in high altitude regions. This makes it suitable for various missions, including operations in densely populated urban areas.
New generation Russian engine
The VK-650V engine has been developed by ODK-Klimov in cooperation over 5 years and has a certificate of aircraft. Equipped with Fadec Digital Control System, certified at the end of 2024, the propeller is designed to adjust to the dimensions and connections of imported engines, which enables existing helicopters’ remotement, such as Ansat, Ka-226T and MI-34.-
