MSFV is a further development of the M1117 Guardian, a vehicle already used by the Ukrainian army. The model was originally developed for Afghanistan’s national army and is designed to meet the requirements of hybrid warfare by balancing mobility and protection.

MSFV’s properties

The platform is considered versatile and offers:

  • V-shaped undercarriage to divert explosion effects;
  • armor against mines;
  • compatibility with different weapons systems;
  • Capacity note, rapid troop shipping and direct arduous commitment to enemy positions.

Thanks to these properties, the vehicle is seen as an important tool for operations in disputed environments.
