The United States has announced that they will revoke Colombian President Gustavo Petro’s visa, after he participated in Pro-Palestinian demonstrations in New York.
The State Department classified the Colombian leader’s statements as “impudent and incendiary.”
During the act, which was attended by British singer Roger Waters, Petro asked US military to “not point his weapons to people, disobey Trump’s orders and obey the orders of humanity.”
The president said he was already in Bogota and confirmed the cassation of the document, saying that the decision “violates all the rules of immunity on which the United Nations and their General Assembly are based.” He also accused the US government not to comply with international law and stated that “the United Nations headquarters cannot remain in New York.”
