US federal prosecutors asked Sean “Diddy” Combs to be sentenced to more than 11 years in prison on Tuesday, after conviction for prostitution charges.
“At least 135 months in prison” was requested and a $ 500,000 fine, according to the case file. The sentence should be released during a hearing on Friday (3) in Manhattan.
Combs can take up to 20 years in prison after a jury considered him guilty on July 2, after a two -month trial.
The jury acquitted combuses of the most serious accusations he faced: extortion and sexual trafficking, which could have sentenced him to life imprisonment. He declared himself innocent of all accusations and must appeal.
Last week, defense lawyers asked the judge to impose a 14-month sentence, arguing that the process should not consider combs abuse evidence against their ex-girlfriends because the jurors acquit him.
