The United States Court considered that Donald Trump disregarded the law when he mobilized military personnel to patrol the streets of Los Angeles last June. The case judge prohibited the Defense Department to send troops to perform police work, such as arrests and containing crowds.
Nevertheless, the magistrate himself prevented the sentence from being put into practice – at least until the 12th. The idea is to allow the federal government to have time to appeal.
Trump determined the sending of military to the streets of California’s largest city to reinforce the work of immigration agents amid a series of protests against deportation policy.

National Guard troops arrived in Los Angeles on June 8, under President Donald Trump. The mobilization, which had about 2,000 soldiers, took place in response to protests against immigration operations. The action was against the will of the state governor, Gavin Newsom.
This was the first time since the 1960s that a president summoned the National Guard without the request or consent of a state. Trump said he mobilized troops to “face illegality.”
The Republican called the National Guard to contain demonstrations in 2020, when he asked the governors of various states to send troops to Washington DC to contain protests after George Floyd’s death by Minneapolis police.
