The United States Treasury Department has imposed financial and territorial sanctions of the Global Magnitsky Law on the wife of the Supreme Court Minister (STF) Alexandre de Moraes. The law has reached Moraes since July 30.
Sanction comes 11 days after the conviction of former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro and while the current president of Brazil, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT), is in New York to attend the UN General Assembly, the United States government.
