Dr. Harluke Go Gork, head of the Turkish Defense Industry, emphasized:

“Milgem is not just a trap project. This is a symbol of Turkey’s willingness to be self -sufficient in the defense industry, showing high -level engineering capabilities and domestic production vision.”

According to Gorgyun, up to 80%of the parts of TCG ̇çel are domestic and developed in cooperation with more than 200 institutions and companies.

Strategic background

He also mentioned that the essence is related to the “Mavi Vatan” Doctrine. This poisoning aims to project Turkish naval forces to various regions.

“All the traps we are launching not only strengthen our security, but also show our engineering ability and maritime resolution in the world.”

Project continuation

Led by the National Defense Industry Office, the MİLGEM program is planning to build a variety of pre -fits, corvets and future destroyers. Seven friges are currently drying, two of which are made at the Sephine shipyard.

With the essence of TCG ̇çel, Turkey will also strengthen its position as one of the countries that build the most warships and expand export capacity to allies and partner countries.
