Three convicts of the Kiss nightclub have progression to the semi -open regime

Three of the four convicted of the Kiss nightclub were permitted to progression to the semi -open regime. The decision was made by the 1st Court of the 2nd Court of Criminal Executions of Rio Grande do Sul and benefits Elissandro Callegaro Spohr, Marcelo de Jesus dos Santos and Luciano Bonilha Leão, who had their feathers readjusted.

The request for regime progression made by Mauro Londero Hoffmann, also convicted of the case, continues under the analysis of the prosecutor. The tragedy took place on January 27, 2013, in the city of Santa Maria (RS), and left 242 dead and 636 injured.

At the end of August, the Association of Family members of victims and survivors of the Santa Maria tragedy issued a manifesto against the decision of the Rio Grande do Sul Court of Justice, which had reduced the penalties of the four defendants involved in the case.
