A survey by Serasa in collaboration with the Opinion Box Institute pointed out that 24% of Brazilians have already indebted to participate in shows and festivals. The survey also revealed that 44%of people consider the price of tickets as the main obstacle to attending events, with distance (19%) and time (17%) appearing close behind.
Even with all barriers, 47% of the more than 1,000 respondents save the value of the entries in advance to ensure the presence. While another 17% buy on impulse. About 70% claim to go to shows to accompany a specific artist, and 38% do not bother to pay dearly for a favorite presentation. 23% of people revealed that they have already spent more than they could with official tickets and products.
In addition to spending to ensure the presence in a given show, the survey points out other common extra expenses between the public, such as food and drink (64%), clothing and posters (20%), bracelets and memories (19%), fashion items (14%), benefits and upgrades (12%), etc. 36% spend more than $ 1,000 on transportation, lodging and food.
Almost 90% of Brazilians frequent up to seven shows or festivals per year, and 73% accompany it through social networks. To deal with expenses, 36% opt for installment and 45% make purchases via credit card, while 38% use Pix. On the other hand, 22% see parties as a way to generate extra income, such as selling food and official products.
