This Friday (26), the Federal Supreme Court (STF) began the analysis of the arrest of Antonio Carlos Antunes, the “Bald of the INSS”, and the businessman Mauricio Camisotti. Ministers will have until October 3 to make their votes.
The vote has already begun and the minister and rapporteur of the case, André Mendonça, has already voted for the conviction of both. For Mendonça, there is a risk of attempting to escape those involved, whistleblowers and acting through political power and financial resources. Only Minister Gilmar Mendes cannot utter his vote. The reason was not disclosed.
An inquiry by the Federal Police investigates the performance of Antonio Carlos and Maurício in possible undue discounts on retirement and pensions paid by the INSS. In the Mixed Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (CPMI), Antunes denied involvement in discounts and, to prove it, will deliver documents to the PF.
Ministers Dias Toffoli, Edson Fachin and Nunes Marques are still missing to define the arrest of the alleged case involved in the case. At the moment, the “bald” has been in definitive prison since September 12.
