Airbus concluded the first prototype of the Sirtap tactical drone, developed and produced entirely in Spain, and has already begun the preparation phase for soil testing.
The schedule foresees ratings over 2026, including experimental flights, with the first delivery scheduled for 2027. The system is part of a contract signed in 2023, which provides for the acquisition of nine sets by Spain, each consisting of three aircraft and one land control station.

O Sirtap It is classified as a high category system in the non -manned tactical aircraft segment. Designed for Intelligence, Surveillance and Recognition Missions (ISR), the drone has autonomy of over 20 hours, can reach altitudes over 20,000 feet and operate in adverse weather conditions. It will be certified to fly in airspace segregated by the Spanish military authorities.
Its main equipment include an electro-optic/infrared tower and a maritime surveillance multi-tidy radar. The drone will also be able to carry guided weapons at four points under the wings, expanding naval protection capabilities and complementing manned aircraft.
