The Senate officialized this Thursday (04) the removal of Senator Marcos do Val (Somos-ES) for 115 days. The House Medical Board answered the senator’s request to obtain a paid license of legislative activities for health treatment.
On social networks, Val claimed that he requested the removal to take care of his parents’ health problems. According to him, his mother is undergoing cancer and his father underwent delicate surgery.
Marcos do Val is investigated by the Federal Supreme Court (STF) for promoting a campaign of intimidation against federal police responsible for investigations in progress. The senator is also suspected of planning the annulment of the 2022 elections.
Last month, the Supreme Court determined that Val used an electronic anklet and had bank accounts blocked by breaking a decision that would prevent him from traveling outside the country. An agreement between Senate and Minister Alexandre de Moraes has suspended part of the limitations imposed.
