Ricky Martin Is Livin ‘The Grateful Life.
As the “She Bangs” singer was presented with the first-ever Latin Icon Award at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards Sept. 7—hosted by LL Cool J at the UBS Arena in Elmont, N.Y.—he shouted out his 17-year-old twins Matteo and Valentino6-year-old daughter Lucia and 5-year-old son Renn during his speech.
“I want to dedicate this award to my kids,” Ricky said after accepting the award from his friend Jessica Simpson. “Matteo, Valentino, Lucia and Renn, everything I do, I do it with you in my mind and in my heart.”
In addition to his kids, the 53-year-old also shouted out his fans.
“This is very simple: This is for you all,” he continued. “Thank you so much for your applause. I am addicted to your applause. That’s why I keep coming back. It’s you, not only here in America, but all over the world. Thank you so much.”
While Ricky rarely speaks publicly about his twins—who were born via surrogate in 2008—and their younger siblings—who he shares with ex-husband Jwan yosef—he has certainly made it a point to showcase their quality time online.
In February, the Grammy winner—who, in addition to Sabrina Carpenter, Alex Warren and J Balvinalso performed during the VMAs—shared an Instagram roundup of his life as of late and included a snap of himself visiting Lucia’s school to read to her classroom. He also shared a pic of his eldest sons enjoying a day of surfing at the beach.
