Political rally of famous actor in India leaves dead and injured

He is one of the highest paid actors in Indian cinema over the past three decades, and has attracted crowds to his public meetings since he launched his political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, in 2024. From Tamil Nadu, he said Karur’s news was worrying and instructed former Minister V. Senthilbalaji, Health Minister Ma. Subramanian and the district administrator to ensure immediate treatment for people who were hit by the turmoil. At least 44 doctors from the neighboring districts of Tiruchirappalli and Salem were sent to Karur. “The unfortunate incident during a political rally in Karur, Tamil Nadu, is deeply sad,” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on an X post.
