Poland has intensified the importation of Taiwan drones and components, seeking to strengthen its defense against Russia’s threats and reduce dependence on Chinese pieces.

Until August 2025, the country acquired almost 60% of Taiwanese drones, totaling $ 32 million, while the United States bought only $ 7 million, according to the Bloomberg.

High demand led Taiwanese manufacturer Ahamani to plan the opening of a factory in Poland. Foreign companies, including a large South Korean company, also showed interest in purchasing non-Chinese engines. Meanwhile, Polish manufacturers such as WB Electronics and Farada Group have expanded their production and replaced Chinese components by Taiwanese alternatives, ensuring products compatible with international standards.

Geographic proximity to Ukraine allows Poland to test drones in real conditions of combat, consolidating the country as a strategic intermediary in the supply of equipment for the conflict. Companies like Flyfocus take advantage of this position to acquire Taiwanese pieces when European components are expensive, further strengthening the local defense industry.
