Party marks act to celebrate Hamas attacks

by Marcelo Moreira

The Working Cause Party (PCO) has marked a demonstration to commemorate the two years of what it calls “glorious” Hamas Operation. The public act is scheduled for October 7, at 19h, in Largo do Arouche, in the Republic neighborhood, in the central area of São Paulo.

The party defended, in a publication on social network X, that “October 7 will be remembered forever as one of the most glorious days of history. On this day, the people of a small country, from within a concentration camp funded by the most powerful governments in history, decided to give it a stop.”

The party considers that, from within the Gaza Strip, Hamas launched the flood of Al-Aqsa and defeated the state of Israel. “It’s one of the greatest achievements of the oppressed in history,” says PCO.

What the party calls the Glorious Operation refers to the surprise attack launched by the Palestinian militant group Hamas against Israel. The attack took place on the morning of October 7, 2023 and marked the beginning of the war in the Gaza Strip.

Hamas defends “high price” of civil losses

The convening of the PCO occurs in the same context in which representatives of Hamas himself has expressed satisfaction with the results of the attack. On Thursday (26), a high representative of the group, Ghazi Hamad, said that the massacre held on October 7, 2023 in Israel created a “gold moment” for the Palestinian cause.

Two weeks after surviving an Israeli attack on Qatar, Hamad defended in conversation with the CNN The “high price” of civil losses at the Palestinian enclave, without apologizing in the name of the group. “Do you know the benefit of October 7 now? If you look at the General Assembly [da ONU]When about 194 people opened their eyes and contemplated atrocity, the brutality of Israel and all of them, they condemned Israel. We have been waiting for this moment for 77 years, “he said.

On the other hand, at the UN General Assembly on Friday (26), Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said much of the world seems to have forgotten the October 7 massacre. “But we remember. Israel remembers October 7th. That day Hamas has performed the worst attack against Jews since the Holocaust. They massacred 1,200 innocent people, including 40 Americans and foreigners from dozens of countries represented here,” he emphasized in the speech.
