The Esplanade of Ministries in Brasilia receives this Sunday the official parade of 7 September. This year, the celebration has as its main focus the issue of national sovereignty, a theme that gained relevance after the increase in tariffs imposed by the United States on Brazilian products.
The new official slogan – “Government of Brazil alongside the Brazilian people” – has already been incorporated into institutional campaigns and should be reflected in the theme blocks of the parade: Brazil of Brazilians, COP30 and Novo PAC, as well as Brazil of the future.
Thousands of people attended the military parade in the Federal District, which began with the arrival of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT) in an open car, around 9:10 am.
The Federal District government had estimated the presence of 50,000 people in the central area for the parade, but the exact number of participants was not disclosed.
