Kia’s Prices Barely Increase for 2026. In Fact, Some Models Got Cheaper

by Marcelo Moreira

Kia’s sales are booming. The Korean brand has an attractive lineup of well-priced products that pack in the features without inflating the price tag. However, not even Kia is immune to market forces, with prices creeping up for most of its models and trims for the 2026 model year. But it’s not all bad.

The 2026 Kia K5 is only $440 pricier than before, but the company has also cut $1,000 or more from several EV9 trims. We have already covered many of Kia’s pricing updates for 2026, but the prices have changed on several cars already due to increased destination charges.

The EV9’s fee has gone up by $100 since Kia announced the EV’s 2026 pricing in May. The automaker has increased the Seltos and K5 destination charges by $50 and $20, respectively.

Kia still has to announce pricing for the 2026 K4, which will be available as a hatchback, the Telluride, the Niro, and a few others, including the rest of the Sportage lineup, but this is how much a new Kia will cost you in 2026.

The Kia Seltos is one of the few cars in America that is actually cheaper to start in 2026, thanks to the introduction of a new entry-level model that lacks all-wheel drive. The LX FWD starts at $25,145, lowering the compact crossover’s starting price, although the other trims receive a slight increase across the board.

The range-topping SX AWD is pricier than before, but it comes with LED lighting, 18-inch alloy wheels, wireless charging, premium audio, and a power liftgate. It’s also the only trim available with Kia’s 190-hp turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. A 147-horsepower 2.0-liter engine is standard in the rest of the lineup.
