Kate Gosselin is reflecting on a difficult loss.
More than 20 years after the Jon & Kate Plus 8 alum welcomed her and ex Jon Gosselin’s sextuplets, she reflected on the—originally septuplet—pregnancy and the loss of a baby.
“I forgot to tell you a really important story about the seventh baby,” Kate explained in A Sept. 3 Teltok. “We had our first ultrasound at six weeks and there were seven babies. I think they had us come back the next week—it was either the next week or two weeks, I can’t honestly remember—to see how they had progressed.”
And it was at that time that Jon and Kate—who already shared twins Mady and Caranow 24—learned one of the babies was lost, but she continued on with her sextuplet pregnancy until a miscarriage scare a few weeks later.
“At some point I started bleeding,” Kate continued. “I, of course, thought this was the beginning of a miscarriage. I was losing them all, but we already knew the seventh baby had stopped growing.”
Kate noted that while she was in the emergency room at that time, she was terrified she had lost the sextuplets Alexis, Joel, Leah, Hannah, Collin, Adennow 21.
