Israel says Hamas shoots civilians to avoid escape in Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu denounced on Sunday that Hamas terrorists have shot civilians in Gaza, including women and children, to prevent their departure from humanitarian routes opened by Israeli defense forces.

“[…] We recently saw how they [terroristas do Hamas] They shoot women and children on their legs and, if necessary, shoot to kill, ”said the prime minister at the beginning of his office meeting in Jerusalem.

Netanyahu explained that about 100,000 people have already left the city of Gaza through the humanitarian tickets created by Israel. However, the premie said that Hamas is doing his best to try to prevent civilian evacuation in order to keep them in the region and use them as “human shields” against Israeli attacks.

“Hamas is doing their best so that no one leaves and staying there in order to serve as a shield,” he said.

The Israeli head of government stressed that Israel’s defense forces (FDI) are expanding operations inside and on the outskirts of the city of Gaza, which is located in the northern region of the Gaza Strip, with the objective of eliminating terrorists from the Nukhba do Hamas unit and destroying Palestinian group infrastructure.

Netanyahu stressed that Israel has been demolishing buildings used by Hamas and assembling new humanitarian corridors for civilians. According to him, the focus of war is to separate civilians from Hamas terrorists, ensuring the exit of the population to safe areas and the delivery of humanitarian aid.

The Israeli leader recognized the diplomatic wear caused by the war, but minimized international pressure.

“If I need to choose between victory over our enemies and malicious propaganda against us, I choose victory,” he said.
