The vote on the income tax exemption bill in the House of Representatives should take place next Wednesday (1), according to the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Hugo Motta (Republicans-PB).
The project rapporteur, Deputy Arthur Lira (PP-AL), presented the opinion last week and maintained what was defined in the Special Commission: total exemption from income tax for those who earn up to 5 thousand reais per month.
The compensation would be staggered. Will pay more tax who receives from 50 thousand reais per month. This additional rate reaches 10% for those who earn 100,000 per month.
In an internet post, the mayor said he will advance with balance and dialogue, working on important guidelines for Brazil. The text was sent by the government to Congress in March and is the priority of the Lula administration.
