United States President Donald Trump receives the White House on Monday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The meeting will aim to propose a peace agreement in the Gaza Strip.
Trump has been pressuring Netanyahu to end the Middle East conflict or reach a temporary ceasefire, but the Israeli prime minister is still resistant and claims that there are still Hamas leaders present in Gaza, putting the territory and the population of Israel at risk.
At the end of last week, Trump told reporters that he already has a ceasefire plan that will be discussed. The proposal is divided into some points, but focuses on the liberation of all Israeli hostages.
Netanyahu faces pressure from world leaders to interrupt the conflict in Gaza, especially after some countries recognize Palestine as a sovereign state. But that did not prevent the Israeli Prime Minister from following the attacks. In his speech at the United Nations (UN) General Assembly, which was boycotted by delegations, including the Brazilian, he said he would have to finish his work in Gaza.
