Dierks Bentley believes his sleeping arrangement is something worth fixing.
The country star revealed he and his wife Cassidy Blackwho wed in 2005, sleep separately in order to ensure they both get their necessary rest.
“Years ago I decided to separate church and state and I got rid of our bed,” he said during the Sept. 1 episode of Bobby Bones’ BobbyCast podcast. “I’ve got two platform beds and two box springs and two mattresses.”
“We don’t even sleep in the same room right now anymore,” Dierks noted. “We’ve moved beyond that.”
According to the 49-year-old, he and his wife—who share kids Evalyn16, Jordan14, and Knox11—arrived at their current configuration in order to address their drastically different sleep styles.
“We get in bed together, right? I have three pillows that have to be positioned exactly the correct way,” he explained. “I’m thinking about the process of getting to fall asleep and all of a sudden, she’ll jerk. I’m like, ‘You’ve got to be kidding me. You’re already out?’”
