Audi have recently published photos of Concept Ca concept for a future car from the manufacturer, which shows a completely redesigned style.
The car, with a monolithic look, has only two doors and a removable hardtop roof, designed to show that the brand takes “a bold step towards a reduced and timeless aesthetics.”
It measures 4.520 mm in length, 1,970 mm in width and 1,285 mm in height, and also marks “the beginning of a new design philosophy and thus an important moment for the four rings,” which suggests that the concept will serve as a guideline for how future Audi-Models will look.
The project was led by Massimo Frascellacreative director at Audi. “It’s important to make our brand really distinct,” he said of Concept C.
“That’s the philosophy behind every decision we make, and we plan to apply the principles of the entire organization,” Frascella added.
The highlight of the design is the grill, which Frascella describes as a fusion of two of Audi’s most famous barbecue design – Type C and Singleframewhich has defined Audi design for decades-in a “vertical structure.”
The car also draws inspiration from other iconic Audi models, including the original TT coupeen and the sixth generation A6while the wheels are strongly inspired by Grandfather-The concept from the early 1990s.
The interior has minimal screen use, where Audi emphasizes that the technology should be present, but not visible, with physical buttons integrated into the dashboard design. The main screen can even be laid down for a cleaner look.
The production model is expected to use the same architecture as the electric Porsche 718. This speculation was supported by Car Magazineas previously confirmed that Gernot DöllnerCEO in Audi, had been approved to use the Porsche architecture for its own sports car project.
If this is true, the Audi Concept C can get almost 600 hp. “The way we design our vehicles is the way we shape the company,” Döllner said, adding that the new design philosophy “will be reflected in the company’s model portfolio.”
