Amid tensions with USA, Maduro adopts Tom Conciliating and says that “respects Trump”

Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro adopted a conciliatory tone on Friday (5) in the middle of the military conflict with the United States. He said he “respects” Donald Trump and that “none of the differences” between him and the US president can lead to “a high -impact military conflict.”
“Venezuela has always been willing to talk, dialogue (with Americans), but just as we are willing to talk and dialogue, we demand respect for our country,” Maduro said.
Maduro’s statements happened hours after Trump declare that US military personnel are allowed to abater military aircraft if commanders find it necessary in the current operation with war ships in the southern Caribbean Sea.
The Venezuelan spoke during the act of “Operational, Organizational Activation” of the Bolivarian National Militia (MNB), one of the branches of the country’s armed forces and featured an enlistment campaign.
In recent days, the US has sent eight war ships and a nuclear submarine to the Caribbean Sea near Venezuela, with the aim of avoiding drugs to the US territory.
The Chavista regime of Maduro claims that military operation in the southern Caribbean is an “excuse” for an intervention in Venezuela, but Trump said his government does not discuss a change of regime in the South American country.
During this Friday’s act, Maduro said again that the US should abandon this alleged pretense of change in Venezuela. “The US must abandon its plan from a change of violent regime in Venezuela and throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, and respect sovereignty, the right to peace, to the independence of our countries,” Maduro said.
