27 -year -old British rider in a coma after a serious accident in Donington Park

British superbike star Callum Grigor (27) is in an artificial coma after September 6th suffered a serious accident during the Pirelli National Superstock Championship on the Donington Park in England.

The rider from Wishaw, Scotland, crashed in the first round of the Goddards cornering and then collided with a motorcycle of the Manx rival Nathan Harrison.

According to the official British Superbike (BSB), the race was immediately interrupted by the red flag and both riders got medical help on the spot.

“Callum Grigor was found in serious condition and required immediate intervention on the track, including introduction to artificial coma. He was transported to Queen’s Medical Center in Nottingham for examination and specialized care,” the organization said.

Nathan Harrison suffered isolated injury to one limb and was also transported to the hospital.
