Minsk, August 14, 2025-Belarus Air Force and Air Defense troops received another lot of SU-30SM2 multifunctional fighters, part of the technical-military cooperation between Minsk and Moscow.

According to the head of the Aviation Staff and the first deputy chief of Air Force Aviation, Colonel Andrey Rachkov, the new SU-30SM2 offer significantly enhanced capabilities:
- Range of expanded target detection by almost three times;
- New avionics and navigation systems, including autonomous mode without depending on satellites;
- Ability to employ a broader spectrum of weapons, including guided and non -guided missiles, as well as pumps with a universal planning and correction module.
Rachkov also pointed out that the flight and technique team has already dominated the modernization, and that young pilots are being trained for combat readiness missions.
The first Su-30SM2 batch was received earlier this year, and the new delivery reinforces the strategy of modernization of Belarus Air defense amid the increasing tensions in Eastern Europe.
