London Metropolitan Police arrested 365 people during a protest in Parliament Square on Saturday (9) against the UK’s decision to ban the “Palestine Action” group. In July, British parliamentarians banned the group, classifying the organization as a terrorist, after some of its members invaded a royal Air Force base and damaged planes in protest against the support of the United Kingdom to Israel.
The prohibition makes a crime a member of the group or support group actions, and the penalty may reach 14 years in prison. Last week, Palestine Action co-founder Huda Ammori obtained judicial authorization to legally contest the ban.
