Ukraine attacks oil facilities in Russia

by Marcelo Moreira

On Saturday, the Ukraine Army said it had performed attacks against Russian oil facilities, a military aviation field for drones and an electronics factory.

In a statement on Telegram, Ukraine’s unmanned system forces (USF) said they had reached the oil refinery in Ryazan, 180 km southeast of Moscow. According to the Ukrainian forces, the Annanefteprodukt oil deposit was also hit.

The statement has not detailed the method used in the attacks, but USF specializes in drone war, including long -range operations. So far, Russia has not officially commented on the alleged attacks on its infrastructure facilities.

Separately, the Ukrainian Intelligence Agency (SBU) reported that its drones have reached a military aviation field of Primorsko-Akhtarsk, used to launch long-range drone waves against targets in Ukraine, and hit a factory in Penza.

At the beginning of the invasion in 2022, Ukraine could not face Russia’s long -range attacks. Since then, however, it has developed a fleet of Kamikaze drones capable of reaching targets to hundreds of kilometers.

In its daily report, the Russian Ministry of Defense said it dropped 338 Ukrainian drones at night, but did not report the total number of devices launched. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that it has slaughtered 45 of the 53 Russian drones launched against the territory at night.
