US President Donald Trump makes comments at the White House Oval Hall in Washington, DC Kevin Lamarque/Reuters by taking stock of his US Social Security management, President Donald Trump said on Thursday (14) found more than 135,000 records of people over 160, pointing out possible fraud in receipt of benefits. “There were almost 135,000 people listed over 160 and, in some cases, receiving payments. So someone is receiving these payments – and we are after that,” he said in a speech at the Oval Hall. According to the Republican, its management removed 12.4 million records from people’s social security over 120 years old. He said the country faces social security fraud “at levels that no one had ever seen.” Trump also stated that he removed almost 275,000 illegal immigrants from US social security. “These are people who had already left the country and yet we were sending checks all the time,” he said. The statements took place at the event that celebrated the 90th anniversary of the US Social Program. Among the measures highlighted by Trump is the end of taxation on social security benefits – a campaign promise recently implemented by the so -called “One Big Beautiful Bill” (a great and beautiful project). In addition to eliminating the collection of social security benefits, the text approved last month expects to reduce taxes, cut social programs, remove incentives for clean energy and increase money for anti-immigration policies and military spending. The new legislation exempts the majority of tax payments on the amounts received from Social Security. “President Trump is demonstrating his unwavering commitment to the protection and strengthening of this vital program to nearly 72 million Americans,” White House Assistant Secretary Liz Huston said in a statement.
