The two Ukrainian military technology companies Devdroid and Rovertech have come together to present the ZMIY DROID 12.7, a new unmanned soil vehicle (UGV) that was developed for educational and combat inserts.
The device combines the robust ZMIY Platform with the Wolly 12.7 The weapon system and was designed so that it can be operated remotely to provide fire support and identify goals in risky areas.
The vehicle is equipped with mines-resistant tanks and protection against FPV drone attacks and has a quiet electric motor, a range of up to 50 km and a tractor of 700 kg. Due to its mobility, it can be used on various types of terrain such as snow, mud, sand and flooded areas. It can be armed with a 12.7 mm m2 browning machine gun, which is used remotely with a AI system and a ballistic computer to ensure precise accuracy.
To the additional functions of the ZMIY DROID 12.7 include cameras with different perspectives, a thermal sensor for use at night and the exclusive Droid Box System that facilitates the integration of Ukrainian military software.
The new drone is already ready to operate on the front line and represents further progress in the combat automation of Ukraine, which has been investing heavily in autonomous floor platforms since 2023.
