President Lula and India Prime Minister Narendra Modi will talk by phone on Thursday (07).
The connection occurs one day after the United States officialized a 25% adjustment in the tariffs for Indian products, also reaching the level of 50% – the same percentage of the rates imposed on Brazil.
Lula said he studies the possibility of calling leaders from the countries that make up BRICS to analyze a joint response to American tariffs. Narendra Modi came to Brazil in July and invited the president to return the visit to the country. The trip is expected to take place early next year.
