SAAB, which is selected as the main contractor, will be responsible for the design, construction and tests of the new system. The first sea trials are expected to start in the summer of 2026.
Advanced autonomy technology
Luuv will already be equipped with Autonomous Ocean Core, the autonomous control system of Saab, which provides independent operation capabilities to both overwater and underwater vehicles.
