Suspected of killing former president of the Ukrainian parliament is arrested, says Zelensky

Reuters Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Sunday night (31) that a suspect was arrested for the murder of former president of Parliament Andriy Parubiy, a crime that shaken the country. “The suspect gave an initial testimony,” Zelensky said in the Telegram messaging app. “Urgent investigative actions are underway to establish all circumstances of this murder.” 📱 Baby the G1 app to see real -time news and free Parubiy, 54, was shot dead in the city of LVIV, in the west of the country, on Saturday (30), in what Zelenskiy called “a horrible murder” and a “security issue in a country at war.” Andriy Parubiy was president of Parliament from April 2016 to August 2019 and was one of the protest leaders in 2013-14 asking for narrower ties with the European Union. “I thank the police authorities for their quick and coordinated work. All circumstances of this horrible murder must be discovered,” Zelensky said.
