The Federal Supreme Court (STF) resumes on Friday (15) the trial of criminal action against Deputy Carla Zambelli for illegal possession of firearms and illegal embarrassment with the use of firearms.
The trial began in March this year. Minister Nunes Marques had requested more time for analysis in the case. Even so, the court already had a majority of a sentencing of Zambelli to 5 years and 3 months in prison, in addition to the cancellation of the mandate. In addition to the rapporteur of the lawsuit, Minister Gilmar Mendes has already voted for the conviction the ministers Cármen Lúcia, Flávio Dino and Alexandre de Moraes. Cristiano Zanin and Dias Tofolli anticipated the votes, even after the request of Nunes Marques.
Also remaining about ministers Luiz Fux, André Mendonça, Edson Fachin, Luis Roberto Barroso and Nunes Marques.
The case in which the deputy is defendant occurred on the eve of the second round of the 2022 elections. Zambelli chased journalist Luan Araújo after exchanging provocations during a political act in the Jardins neighborhood of São Paulo.
