Three men died and eight others were injured after criminals opened fire inside a restaurant in Brooklyn in New York at dawn on Sunday (17).
According to the New York Police Department (NYPD), the first emergency calls occurred around 3:30 am, local time (4:30 am in Brasilia). When agents arrived at the scene, they found several people hit by shots.
Commissioner Jessica Tisch stated that multiple shooters participated in the action. According to her, the criminals used more than one gun during the attack. The police collected 36 capsules triggered and located a gun near the restaurant.
The victims are eight men and three women, aged 27 to 61 years. Among the dead are three men already identified, but the authorities have not yet disclosed the names.
Rescue teams took the injured to nearby hospitals. So far, police have not reported details about their health.
In addition, the investigators started searching to locate the suspects. None of those involved has been arrested so far. The corporation also analyzes images of safety cameras of the restaurant and neighboring streets to advance in the findings.
The Commissioner classified the attack as “terrible” and stressed that police work continues intensively to clarify the case.
