Senator Marcos do Val returned from the United States and landed in Brazil on Monday (04), and will have to put an electronic anklet by determination of the Supreme Court Minister (STF), Alexandre de Moraes.
Val failed the minister’s decision and traveled abroad. The parliamentarian embarked for Manaus, with a diplomatic passport, to the United States during the parliamentary recess. The other Val passport is retained by determination of the STF minister. He was referred to the Integrated Center for Electronic Monitoring, from the Federal District Penitentiary Administration Secretariat, when descending from the plane.
The senator is suspected of obstruction of justice after publishing on social networks information about the PF delegate Fábio Schor, who leads investigations against former President Jair Bolsonaro and other pocket supporters.
The senator’s defense denies that he has breached the precautionary measure imposed by the Supreme Court and states that at no time was Val Marcos forbidden to be absent from the country. The defense also reported that the decision to fully block the senator’s assets exceeds the limits of reasonableness, and confirms that Val “trusts that the Federal Senate will adopt firm measures to restore institutional normality”.
