Rodrigo Paz leads elections in Bolivia, but dispute should go to the 2nd round

Rodrigo Paz Pereira, 55, is a senator and son of former President Jaime Paz Zamora, who ruled Bolivia between 1989 and 1993. Political trajectory marked by dialogue and conciliatory profile, peace was consolidated as a center figure in the Bolivian scenario. Before arriving at the Senate, he was mayor of Tarija in the south of the country, where he gained prominence for defending modern management and fiscal responsibility.
