The deputy and leader of the Portuguese party arrives, André Ventura, responded on Tuesday (5) to the house arrest of former President Jair Bolsonaro, by order of Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Supreme Court (STF).
According to the European politician, Bolsonaro’s arrest represents the “total decay of Brazilian democracy” and should receive some censorship note from the Portuguese government.
“Brazil needs us to report who rules now, which is the corrupt power of Lula da Silva [presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva]. We will not allow them to do whatever they want in the country, we will not allow Judge Alexandre de Moraes to do whatever he wants, “said Ventura.

According to the Portuguese deputy, the STF minister is one of the allied fronts of the Lula administration, classified by him as “corrupt” and “dictatorial”.
“Bolsonaro was placed in house arrest because of his images published on social networks, because he used his freedom of the expression. It is not necessary to give his opinion on who agrees or not with Bolsonaro, but the point is that Lula is a corrupt, a dictator who wants to transform Brazil into a dictatorship. Alexandre de Moraes is a judicial arm of this dictatorship, we need to understand that, that Brazil is no longer living a democracy.
Ventura added that he will submit a proposal to the government to block the entry of Moraes in Portugal. “[…] We need to denounce the corrupt government of Brazil. I will propose to the government to prevent Judge Alexandre de Moraes from entering Portugal and having any relationship, whether presence or assets in the country. They need to realize that we are not playing and freedom and democracy should be taken seriously, “he said in a video posted on X on Tuesday.
