The European leaders said “Trump’s efforts to stop the killing in Ukraine, end Russia’s war of aggression and achieve just and lasting peace,” noting that the Ukrainian nation “must rely on unshakable safety guarantees to effectively defend their sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
“We welcome President Trump’s statement that the United States is willing to offer security guarantees,” he added.
Russia

Zelensky, after “long and substantial” conversation with Trump, highlighted support for Republican proposals, a future trilateral summit between the two and the Russian dictator.
“Ukraine reaffirms its willingness to make the most effort to achieve peace,” emphasized the Ukrainian President, who also highlighted the importance that “US strength has an impact on the evolution of the situation.”
“Ukraine points out that at the level of leaders it is possible to address key issues and a trilateral format is suitable for this,” reinforcing the desire to sit at a negotiating table with Moscow.
