After months of negotiations, Poland signed the second executive contract with Hyundai Rotem on 1 August 2025 for the supply of 180 tanks K2.
The ceremony took place at the Bumar-Słabędy factory in Gliwice and was chaired by the deputy prime minister and minister of national defense of Poland, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, and by the Minister of South Korea defense, Ahn Gyu-Baek.
The contract, worth 6.5 billion dollars, provides for the delivery of 116 tanks in the South Korean version K2GF between 2026 and 2027, and 64 tanks in the Polish K2Pl version between 2028 and 2030 The first three K2Pls will be built in South Korea and subjected to modification tests based on the K2GF version.
