The president of the Chamber of Deputies, Hugo Motta, and the Federal Senate, David Alcolumbre, called for Wednesday (06) a meeting with party leaders to resume the work.
Through his social networks, Motta said that the meeting “will be defined based on dialogue and institutional respect.” Already Alcolumbre asked “serenity” and “common sense” and even defined the attitude of the opposition as “arbitrary exercise of the reasons themselves, something unusual and oblivious to democratic principles.”
On Tuesday (05), due to the protest of opponents against house arrest of former President Jair Bolsonaro, there was obstruction of the work and the operation of both Congress houses was interrupted. In addition, opposition deputies and senators slept in the House and remained occupying the Senate Board.
