The Central Bank (BC) reported on Tuesday (12) that more than $ 10 billion remain forgotten in financial institutions across the country. The balance considers the amounts accounted for by July this year and is part of the monthly update calendar.
Of this total, R $ 8.03 billion are forgotten resources for 48.2 million individuals and R $ 2.53 billion are in the name of companies. Since the beginning of the disclosure of the amounts to receive, the BC has returned more than R $ 11 billion left in banks, consortia and other institutions.
The official deadline to withdraw the resources would have, in theory, ended on October 16, 2024, but the Ministry of Finance clarified that there is no more deadline for customers to redeem values in financial institutions.
