President Lula phoned on the night of Monday (11) to China President Xi Jinping.
In the connection, which lasted about an hour, the two leaders exchanged impressions about the current international conjuncture and recent efforts for peace between Russia and Ukraine.
Both agreed on the role of G20 and BRICS in the defense of multilateralism. In a note released by the Planalto Palace, Lula reiterated the importance that China will have for the success of COP 30 and in the fight against climate change. Xi Jinping indicated that the country will be represented by a high level delegation and will work for the success of the conference.
The heads of state also talked about the bilateral strategic partnership and highlighted willingness to continue identifying new business opportunities between the two economies.
