Jessa Duggar Shares Special Role Her Sister Jordyn Duggar Played in Birth of Baby No. 6
Jessa Duggar believes in counting on her sister.
While announcing the arrival of her and husband Ben Seewald’s sixth baby, the 19 Kids and Counting alum revealed the sweet way her sister Jordyn dews played a pivotal role in their birth story.
“I said to Ben, ‘You’ve never cut the cord. You should cut the cord this time,’” Jessa said in an Aug. 4 YouTube video, noting that she was “teasing him.”
“I know he has a very weak stomach for such things,” she continued. “He’s a huge support and encouragement to me throughout labor, but he doesn’t want to be near all of that. So he’s like, ‘No, thank you.’”
However, Jessa—who also shares kids Spurgeon9, Henry8, Ivy5, Fern3, and George20 months, with Ben—explained that she had “invited” her sister to be “a part of this birth” and saw a meaningful opportunity.
“My sister Jordyn, this is her first time to be at one of my births,” Jessa shared. “So I said, ‘Jordyn, you should cut the cord.’ And she was really excited about that. So, she got to cut the cord.”
