On Wednesday, however, the Commander of the Staff, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, “approved the main structure of the Army Operational Plan in the Gaza Strip,” says a military statement. Zamir told the prime minister to be against the expansion of the offensive in Gaza, but will comply with government orders.
