Iran says Israel’s plan aims to “complete genocide” in Gaza

by Marcelo Moreira

Iran condemned vehemently on Friday (8) Israel’s plan to take the city of Gaza and claimed that this is “a strategy to complete the genocide of the Palestinian people.”

“The Zionist regime plan [Israel] To militarily occupy the city of Gaza and to force its inhabitants forcibly is a strategy to complete the genocide of the Palestinian people, ”said Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei.

He classified the initiative as “another proof of deliberate intention” of Israel to perform a “ethnic cleaning in Gaza”.

The Iranian diplomat stated that all countries and the United Nations have “legal and moral responsibility” to stop “genocide” and “atrocious crimes” that, according to Tehran, are being committed in Palestinian territories.

In addition, he classified as “shameful” the “complicity” of the United States and some western countries with these actions.

Iranian spokesman has asked to “force the Israeli regime” to end military operations, ensure the immediate delivery of humanitarian aid and relieve the situation of “hungry and thirsty” civilians of the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli Government Security Office gave a green light on Friday to a military plan proposed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to occupy the city of Gaza.

The Israeli government issued a statement exposing Netanyahu’s plan to “defeat Hamas”, which includes occupying the city of Gaza, without clarifying what will happen with the rest of the Palestinian territory.

Iran supports the Palestinian group Hamas, and along with the Lebanese Hezbollah, the southys of Yemen and a range of Iraqi groups form the anti-Israel terrorist alliance called the resistance axis.
