Israeli Katz Minister of Defense, confirmed on Sunday (31) the murder of the armed arm of Hamas (al-Qassam brigades), Abu Obaida, in an Israeli bombing launched yesterday against the city of Gaza.
“Hamas Terrorism spokesman, Abu Obaida, was eliminated in Gaza and sent to meet with all Iran’s evil axis liquidators, Gaza, Lebanon and Yemen at the bottom of hell,” says Katz’s message released on his social network account.
The defense holder also congratulated in his message the defense forces of Israel (FDI) and Shin Bet – Israel’s internal intelligence agency – “for the perfect execution” of the bombing that took place against the neighborhood of Al Rimal, in the city of Gaza.
“Soon, with the intensification of the campaign in Gaza, he will meet there with many more of his accomplices in the crime: the Hamas killers and rapists,” said the former Foreign Minister by attaching a photo of Obaida – who always appeared with his face covered by a Kufiya – scratched with a large red cross.
Katz’s confirmation arrives after hours earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had confirmed at the beginning of the meeting of his office that the goal of the Gaza attack had indeed been obaidal.
Since the beginning of the Israeli offensive in Gaza after Hamas attacks on October 7, 2023, the Al-Qassam brigades spokesman made numerous videos in which he reported on the Palestinian group’s stance on negotiations or the fate of hostages.
In July 2024, Israel also murdered Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh in an explosion in the building in Tehran where he was staying.
